After a long period of musical hibernation, during which parenting in a pandemic took everything they had - Crispy has emerged with new songs of earth and embodiment to meet the dawn.
The last album - a studio creation with Crispy Watkins & The Crack Willows, was an incredible learning experience. Since then, I have had several years of experience in home recording and music production almost weekly, and along with the vast knowledge of my cellist and recording engineer, Daniel Zamzow, we are ready to take the music to a new level of creativity with our own home-grown techniques.
This album is a grief-song, an offering to the old gods, a joy-filled call to express our beauty and come more fully into our own aliveness. This is musical medicine that has gotten me through many difficult days, and I need your help to share these songs with the world!
I am using this platform to crowdfund rather than Kickstarter or Indiegogo because they do not take a cut of my profits! So all the money you donate will go directly to this creative endeavor, including an incredible team of local artists who are contributing their time and talent.
Recording and producing music is more accessible than ever these days, but covering costs, let alone making a living as an artist, is quite a challenge. Your contributions will make it possible for me to make and share this art in a most impactful way!
I am asking for $8,000 - here's the breakdown:

1,400 - guest musician time
1,200 - mixing/mastering fees
1,000 - cds, t-shirts and stickers
